Enjoy the experience of a lifetime snorkeling with the largest fish on the planet. Whale sharks can grow up to 40ft/12m or more and weigh 11 tons. Each year between the months of June and September, the whale sharks gather in the waters off Cancun to feed on plankton and the eggs and larval stages of larger animals.

The Mexican government regulates how many boats and how many swimmers are allowed to be in the water with the whale sharks. These eco-tour sizes are limited to ten (10) tourists per boat and only two (2) swimmers can be in the water at any one time with the whale sharks. You will take turns with the other guests on the boat getting into the water with the sharks. However tempting it might be, do not touch the whale sharks. The sites are monitored by the government and you could face a hefty fine or even a night in jail. NOTE: We highly recommend you take sea sickness medication the night before and the morning of the tour.
